KAISER OPTICAL SYSTEMS - RAMAN RXN4™ GAS-PHASE RAMAN ANALYZER
jeudi 3 juin 2010Description
Kaiser Optical Systems Inc. introduces the RamanRxn4 rack-mountable Raman analyzer which in combination with Kaiser s AirHead' probe can be used for gas-phase process monitoring and control. Raman spectroscopy can be used to measure industrially important gases such as diatomics, including nitrogen, oxygen, and fluorine, SOx, COx, and hydrocarbons, however these measurements have rarely been made outside the laboratory setting due to the lack of process ready equipment.
The RamanRxn4 analyzer and the AirHead' in situ gas probe address many of the limitations of previous equipment for gas-phase monitoring and control, said Ian R. Lewis, marketing manager at Kaiser. Kaiser new gas-phase analyzer offers an alternative to typical process gas-analyzers. The chemical specificity and spectral range of the RamanRxn4 analyzer allows multiple gases to be independently identified without chromatographic separation.

Benefits for Raman based gas-phase analysis include fiber-optic connectivity to remote sampling locations (no sample loops required), no consumables, and a single RamanRxn4 analyzer can measure up to four sample locations. Thus Raman gas-analyzers can offer both lower installation costs and cost-of-ownership than traditional process gas-analyzers.
